LINA LIMOSANI

Lina Limosani is an Adelaide-based choreographer, director and performer recognised for her

original theatrical voice and visually arresting contemporary dance works. Her work has

been described as “aesthetically stunning” by InDaily, “intelligent, captivating” by The Guardian,

and “highly original” by The Wee Review.

An original member of Garry Stewart’s Australian Dance Theatre, Lina went on to build an

international performance career, touring extensively through the Americas, Canada, Asia, Europe

and the UK with leading companies and choreographers, along with being a Resident

Choreographer at Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg, Netherlands, for eight years.

As founder of Limosani Projekts, she has developed a distinctive body of critically acclaimed

work marked by powerful physicality, theatrical storytelling, and emotionally resonant ideas.

Lina has been commissioned by The Australian Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre and
New Zealand Dance Company,and has led major international collaborations including
A Delicate Situation, Not Today’s Yesterday, and The Spinners. The Spinners enjoyed

sold-out seasons at the Adelaide Dance Festival and Edinburgh Fringe, where it was

nominated for a Total Theatre Award for Dance and named among the UK’s top ten dance

works of 2018. Her work BÁRBAROS toured to the 2024 Seoul and Gunsan

International Dance Festivals.

Through Limosani Projekts, Lina creates contemporary performance that explores complex
human stories with boldness, precision and imagination. Her works invite audiences into
visually rich, thought-provoking worlds where dance becomes a vehicle for social reflection,

cultural inquiry and transformation.

Lina is currently developing her new production What Lurks on the Edge, a contemporary

dance work that draws on stage‑magic traditions of black art to reinterpret the
folktale Bluebeard
